SL82818
General Description
The SL82818 is a 4-channel, high performance transimpedance amplifier
(TIA) with integrated TMDS output driver optimized for being connected
to TMDS receiver inputs at standard DVI or HDMI links.
The amplifier is designed in standard CMOS. It operates completely
without any external power supply by simply being supplied by the common
mode voltage of the TMDS receiver inputs.
The SL82818 features a low input referred noise, which enables a
BER of 10-12 at 3.4 Gbps for an input current of 10 µApp.
This allows for an optical input sensitivity of about -18 dBm if
connected to a typical photodiode.
As an additional feature the SL82818 integrates an input current mirror
function, which allows the received input power to be determined.
To facilitate assembly in small form factor packages the SL82818
integrates the photodiode filter network on chip.
